Peder Losnegård (born October 26, 1992, in Tysvær, near Haugesund, Norway), known by the stage name Lido, pronounced lee-doh, (earlier LidoLido) is a Norwegian hip hop artist, rapper, producer and songwriter.
Losnegård started writing songs and playing the piano. Listening to hip hop music, he developed a melodic “good-guy hip hop” where his musicality and wide background of genres was reflected.
Abandoning previous musical incarnations, Lido emerged as one of the pre-eminent producers of 2014 & 2015, producing the debut album for Halsey and headlining two sold out US tours.
He has performed versions of his original songs and remixes with KORK – the Norwegian Radio Orchestra – and as a remixer he has received high praise for his work with Alt J, Bastille (band), Banks (singer), The Weeknd, Disclosure (band) and Bill Withers.
He has recently produced the latest singles for both Banks (singer), “Better,” and Chance the Rapper, “Angels.”
