BAP 2016Over the Thanksgiving holiday, K-pop group B.A.P (Best Absolute Perfect) made waves in the industry when it was revealed that all six members were filing a contract nullification suit against their entertainment company, TS Entertainment.

The group claims their contracts benefit only the company and not them. Their contracts are said to include “clauses that violate civil rights and go against what is outlined by the Fair Trade Commission.” Profits made from the group are also allegedly being distributed unfairly, where TS is collecting most of the profit, leaving the group with only a small fraction of their earnings. According to the suit, since debuting in 2012, B.A.P have earned over 9 million dollars, yet the company has only given each member $16,000.
