B.o.B tour 2016Bobby Ray Simmons, Jr. (born November 15, 1988), better known by his stage name B.o.B, is an American recording artist and music producer from Decatur, Georgia. In 2006, B.o.B was discovered by Brian Richardson, who then introduced him to TJ Chapman, who subsequently brought him to American record producer Jim Jonsin. After hearing his music, Jonsin signed B.o.B to his Rebel Rock Entertainment imprint. Two years later, Jonsin and B.o.B signed a joint venture deal, with Atlantic Records and American rapper T.I.’s Grand Hustle Records.

On August 14, 2015, B.o.B released his fourth studio album, titled Psycadelik Thoughtz. It features guest appearances from singers Jon Bellion and Sevyn Streeter. The album, which was released without any promotion or pre-release singles, debuted at number 97 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. Following the album’s release, B.o.B released a single from Psycadelik Thoughtz, titled “Back and Forth”. On December 4, 2015, B.o.B self-released an EP titled WATER (We Are The Enemy Really). On December 7, 2015, B.o.B claimed he was being “suppressed” by Atlantic Records.

On January 2, 2016, B.o.B said “I haven’t forgotten about the rock album.. when the time is right.” On January 18, 2016, B.o.B released his second EP in as many months. The EP, titled FIRE (False Idols Ruined Egos), follows the concept of his previous one, adopting the title of an element and the use of acronyms.
